And so is the 57th Quadrille Ball, which will be held on January 28, 2017 at The Pierre Hotel, New York. Have you purchased your ticket yet? In need of a unique Christmas present? Please note, discounted ticket prices only last until December 31. We encourage you to get your ball tickets now.
Thanks to your generous support we are proud to have awarded a total of 26 stipends in 2016, a record number. Of those 26 scholars are the five 2016-17 bridge stipend recipients, most recently selected in cooperation with the Institute of International Education. These stipends help German graduate students to continue their research in the US once their Fulbright year here has ended.
As many of you may know, the Quadrille Ball also offers a Silent Auction. It generates approximately 20% of our profit for the stipend fund. This additional source of income is made possible thanks to our generous donors.
In years past, the Silent Auction offered fine jewelry, designer handbags, high-end household items, artwork, couture evening gowns, German liquor sets, flight vouchers, stays at beach resorts, opera gloves, and much more.
