In preparation for the Ball there are ten weekly rehearsals and participating dancers are expected to attend all of them to be at peak performance level. The rehearsals take place on Tuesday nights at the Liederkranz Club located at 6 East 87th Street, New York, NY 10028. From 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM there is food and drinks available. From 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM the dance rehearsal is taking place. Dancers are practicing the quadrille dance under the accompaniment of live music. One of the rehearsals is reserved for learning the basics of Waltz by a professional dance instructor. At the rehearsals ladies must wear long skirts and low heels. Men must wear jacket and slacks. A week before the ball there is a dress rehearsal at the Plaza Hotel where the ball takes place.

After each rehearsal the Quadrille Junior Committee hosts a party at either an apartment belonging to one of the Quadrille Alumni or at a local bar. At the parties, the dancers can have a chance to get to know each other and relax in the casual atmosphere. During the holiday season there is a special Christmas party sponsored by the Carree Committee.
