Why To Participate

The Quadrille Ball is one of the most formal events in New York City that offers you a chance to look your best.

The Quadrille Ball is fun. Each dance rehearsal is followed by a party where you get the opportunity to meet your fellow dancers and establish new friendships.

Requirements

To participate in the ball you must be:

• Single
• Women must be between 20 and 27 and men between 24 and 30 years old.
• Performance presentable
• Coordinated
• Sociable
• Live in New York or surrounding areas
• Must be able to attend 10 rehearsals (Tuesdays 7-9 pm, Nov-Jan)

Dance ability is preferred, though not required. There are dance instruction sessions held on Tuesday evenings to prepare for the performance.

How To Join

To join the Quadrille Ball you must be sponsored by a Quadrille Ball alumnus. Please fill out this form to be contacted to discuss your eligibility to become a dancer of the upcoming ball. Once you have a sponsor, you will receive an invitation to the Quadrille Prospective Dancers reception held at the end of October. At the reception you will get a chance to learn more about the ball by talking to the quadrille alumni, listening to the speech by the ball chairperson, and by watching a demonstration of the Quadrille Dance performed by selected quadrille alumni. Following the reception there will be weekly rehearsals which all prospective dancers are expected to attend.
